Come work on our BRAND NEW Medical and Surgical unit which, is a fast-paced, 14-bed unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital. This position will cover both Medical/Surgical 1st and 3rd floors providing a unique opportunity to care for Med/Surg, IMC and Short Stay patients!

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity.
  • Join a team of remarkable nurses caring for general care, select IMC, and Med/Surg Short Stay patients across a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
  • Work in a collaborative environment, surrounded by state of the art technology, evidence-based practice and a strong interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
  • Collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Manage patients post operatively and provide expert discharge planning in a high-volume, fast-moving setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

  • Inpatient Units: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required

  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
  • Relevant Certification Preferred
