THE ROLE: AMD is hiring a Director, Strategic Partnerships to join Public Sector team and lead strategic partnership development for Genesis Mission and related public-sector AI initiatives. This leader will shape and execute public-private partnership strategy with the U.S. Department of Energy, National Laboratories, federal stakeholders, research universities, and ecosystem partners to accelerate adoption of AMD-powered AI and high-performance computing solutions. Additionally, he/she will translate Genesis Mission priorities into actionable partnership models spanning AI infrastructure, scientific workflows, domain models, data platforms, and secure deployment environments. The role is expected to expand AMD's National Lab engagement by aligning mission needs, partner capabilities, and AMD product strategy in support of scientific discovery, national security, and energy innovation. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate brings deep credibility with National Laboratories and complex public-sector R&D environments, combined with the ability to engage senior scientists, laboratory leadership, federal program stakeholders, and executive partners. This person should pair technical fluency in AI, scientific computing, and HPC with strong partnership instincts, disciplined execution, and the judgment to navigate multi-party strategic initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with AMD's Public Sector, AI, GPU, CPU, product, engineering teams to define engagement models, shape solution priorities, and build durable frameworks for National Lab and mission-oriented ecosystem development.
