This position supports Lincolnton's Quality Systems, Manufacturing processes, and New Product Introduction (NPI) through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). The role is responsible for ensuring product and process conformance to specifications, supporting qualification and validation testing, and leading quality initiatives across the product lifecycle. This includes inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement. The technician must adhere to all applicable plant certifications including ISO 9001:2000 and SQF. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Inspect, test, and accept or reject finished products using written specifications, parameters, or guidelines. * Conduct sample and qualification testing for new materials, tooling, and process changes to validate compliance with product and regulatory requirements. * Develop and maintain APQP documentation including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Control Charts. * Coordinate and conduct PPAP submissions in accordance with customer and industry standards. * Document all inspection/test results and non-conformances, recommending solutions as needed. * Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues. * Support implementation of process specifications, SPC, computerized data systems, and test cells. * Conduct capability studies and measurement system analysis (MSA). * Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and internal audits; issue and follow up on corrective actions. * Support QA associates on defect awareness, inspection methods, and specification requirements. * Act as a shift leader and quality liaison for production and engineering teams. * Performs all other duties assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS * High School diploma or GED; Associate degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred. * 5+ years of experience in a lab or manufacturing quality role, preferably in an ISO or cGMP environment. * Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality software tools. * Ability to run CMM programs and use inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators). * Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. * Physically able to lift/move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. * Knowledge of injection molding, assembly, and packaging processes is a plus. * Familiarity with Food and Beverage industry standards is a plus. | |
