This classification of Admissions Clerk at MTMHI currently has an approved hiring rate of $3,250 monthly/$39,000 yearly.

This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school.

Necessary Special Qualifications: A valid motor vehicle operator license may be required; some positions may require a valid motor vehicle operator's license with a FOR HIRE (F) endorsement.

Overview

MTMHI is seeking an Admissions Clerk to manage and process patient admissions efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies. This position plays a key role in maintaining hospital operations by coordinating referrals, tracking admissions, and ensuring data integrity in hospital systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Process admissions referrals, including paperwork preparation, tracking pending referrals, and issuing ASA Bed Confirmations.
  2. Monitor and update hospital status by sending notifications when admissions are on Diversion.
  3. Ensure accurate data entry into AVATAR, preventing duplicate MPI numbers and errors in unit and physician assignments.
  4. Follow admissions policies and procedures before assigning patients to their designated units.

TN Driver Standards
