PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $141,800.00-$173,300.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $110,100.00 - $204,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:
As a Sr Product Owner on the Digital Banking team,you'llbe responsible fordriving roadmap execution for one or more extensive and complex capability-aligned products. As part of the Digital Banking team, you will play a key role in executing an ongoing transformation of our digital platforms to modernize our capabilities, continuously improve member experiences, and accelerate innovation.

This role willcommunicate the product strategy, vision, and priority to the delivery team,utilizingcustomized dashboards and the delivery team roadmap, and seeing that vision through product delivery. The Sr Product Owner will work with key stakeholders across the organization. This role willmaintainthe product roadmap andis responsible forthe output of the product delivery team.

We'reseeking candidateslocatedin Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona, or Texas. Team members based in Seattle typically work onsite at our Tukwila office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Candidateslocatedoutside the Seattle area should be prepared to travel toTukwila, WA,or other locations as needed,approximately1-3timesperquarter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serve as the primary decision owner for scope, priority, and sequencing, ensuring delivery teams are aligned to execute against the approved roadmap for complex products or initiatives.
  • Facilitate user story development from strategy and business requirements, create user stories, document acceptance criteria, approve user stories for the delivery team,and accept completed stories and features.
  • Inspect andfacilitateproduct progress, accept, and reject work done, solve product design concerns, define and prioritize product backlog.
  • Coordinate with internal design partners, vendors, and external parties to support feature or product planning and execution.
  • Partner with key stakeholders tomaintaina coordinated product roadmap and reset priorities as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market and industry trends and use that knowledge to make effective recommendations during vision,designor workshop sessions.
  • Ensureproactiveinformation-sharingamong team members tofacilitatealignment and awareness.
  • Provide coaching and training to junior team members to enable growth and development as needed.
  • Performadditionalduties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of related functional experience in product ownership, project management, or development roles
  • 5 years of experience developing user stories and relevant domain experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing andmaintainingvendor relationships
  • Proven ability to self-direct;identifybusiness and customer needs and opportunities; overcome barriers; and develop solutions with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, paired with strong presentation and public speaking abilities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Expert knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Product Owner certification
