Under minimal supervision, the Senior Strategic Project Manager manages the implementation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects which cross divisional organizational boundaries; or projects which design and implement products which will affect the entire corporation; or projects which design and implement corporate processes. This individual will specifically support projects within the Banking organization and will require experience working with one of Jack Henry's banking core solutions.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Cedar Falls, IA; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

The salary range for this position is $88,650- $130,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Manages the development and implementation of new or upgraded products and/or manages the creation and implementation of corporate processes for the foundational cores.
  • Manages operational readiness and client testing to ready products for market.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project is on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Provides mentoring and support to other project managers in dealing with project management issues for their assigned projects.
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills.
  • Assists less experienced peers.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of project management or financial institution experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Has a wide range of experience and able to resolve complex issues. Works on complex and diverse projects. Analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the project management body of knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of industry project management practices.
  • General knowledge of software development/IT practices and procedures.
  • Able to assist/coach less experienced peers.
  • Able to complete successful product design and implementation projects that are on schedule, within budget and receive high customer satisfaction results.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Able to interact and communicate effectively with senior internal and external personnel.
