Job Overview

Lead the planning and coordination of administrative and/or operational activities of substantial variety and complexity and support initiatives and projects for the Office of the President.

Essential Functions

  • Lead end to end processes for assigned projects and events; assess and make recommendations regarding the development of operating processes, continuously update and improve processes, identify problems and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Manage the planning and coordination of programmatic activities for the Office of the President.
  • Provide staffing and operational support to the President at events, tours and visits.
  • Lead the planning and execution of events hosted by the Office of the President.
  • Coordinate all aspects of usage for the President's suites and seating for athletic events, including scheduling, logistics and communications with stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director to manage the scheduling and coordination of the Office of the President student associates.
  • Partner with the Executive Assistant and Sr. Director to assist with the coordination of use of office facilities and equipment.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of expense statements.
  • Interact with staff, faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
  • Assist with the development of digital content for the President's Office including invitations, social media collateral, and event photo distribution.
  • Research, draft, edit and prepare documents and reports.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.


Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Five (5) years of related experience in higher education administration
  • Experience interfacing with senior executives, Donors, Board of Directors/Trustees, or high-profile individuals, including elected officials
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience working in higher education environment
  • Working knowledge of university organization and administration
  • Experience planning for and managing events
  • Strong writing skills

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
