Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant - Urgent Care Job Description The Back Office Medical Assistant supports daily clinical and administrative operations within a fast-paced urgent care setting. This role is responsible for assisting with patient intake and discharge, performing clinical support tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system. The Medical Assistant will also provide front desk coverage as needed and support overall patient flow and care coordination. Key Responsibilities * Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures * Obtain and record patient vitals and clinical information * Assist with triage and support providers during patient visits * Accurately document patient information in the EMR/EHR system (NextGen) * Verify patient insurance and eligibility * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow * Provide front desk coverage as needed * Maintain compliance with healthcare, safety, and confidentiality standards Required Skills & Qualifications * Experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting * Knowledge of triage and patient care workflows * Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems * Strong understanding of healthcare operations and patient services * Ability to work in both back-office and front-office functions Preferred Qualifications * Experience in an urgent care or ambulatory care setting * NextGen EMR experience * Bilingual in Spanish Experience Level * Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Burbank, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
