Vaco is actively seeking a Strategic Change Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity supporting a nationally respected organization in St. Louis.

Position Summary

The Change Management Specialist drives strategic technology and organizational initiatives across the enterprise. This role will bridge strategy, change management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment and execution across complex, cross-functional IT initiatives.

As a high-visibility, early-career role, the role will coordinate across leadership, technical teams, cross functional stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives achieve clarity and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate strategic initiatives into clear, actionable roadmaps and execution frameworks.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement efforts to ensure alignment across leadership, product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and end-users.
  • Rapidly assess new and evolving initiatives, structuring ambiguous inputs into defined plans, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Support and evolve change management practices by developing structured approaches to adoption, communication, and value realization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure initiatives maintain enterprise alignment and stakeholder visibility.
  • Develop and refine tools, templates, standards, and models to improve consistency and scalability of delivery across initiatives.
  • Prepare high-quality, executive-level deliverables including status updates, roadmaps, business cases, value propositions, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate across multiple concurrent initiatives, managing dependencies, identifying risks, and ensuring forward momentum.
  • Engage with shifting priorities and evolving information, maintaining progress while bringing structure and clarity to evolving situations.
  • Identify gaps in alignment, communication, or execution, and proactively address them before they impact outcomes.


Required Qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years of post-graduate experience preferably within consulting, strategy, or technology-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to support or drive initiatives, coordinate across stakeholders, and deliver structured outputs in a professional setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to break down complex or vague situations into actionable components.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for both executive and technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and frequent context switching.
  • High degree of ownership and initiative with a bias toward action and problem-solving before escalation.
  • Extremely strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Target Compensation: $95k - $120k, depending on skills and experiences
