Job Summary

This summer position will support the Virtual Design Construction (VDC) department and will bescheduled to work 2-3 days during the workweek, up to a maximum of 24 hours weekly. Due to the part-time nature of this position, no benefits are available.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supports the VDC Specialists/Supervisors in developing detailed coordination and fabrication drawings for the appropriate trade.
• Assists with the following:
  • Producedrawings consistent with instructions, prefabrication guidelines and standards.
  • Label and dimensiondrawings prepared by department staff.
  • Plotall department drawings.
  • Readarchitectural and structural floor plans, sections and elevations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous drafting or programming computer related class preferred.
• Must be proficient inmath skills including fractions, decimals, and algebra.
• Must be available to work at least 16 hours a week during the summer.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
