Job Overview:

Monmouth Heart and Vascular is looking to add a qualified Echo Technologist at their Eatontown, NJ location. Echo Techs use specialized ultrasound equipment to create images of the heart, valves, and blood flow, assisting cardiologists in diagnosing conditions like heart failure and murmurs. They prepare patients, operate imaging technology, perform structural heart studies, and create preliminary

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma from an accredited Echocardiography program
  • At least one year of hospital work experience required

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Registered Echocardiogram Technologist or Registry - eligible
  • Basic Life Support Certification

Scheduling Requirements

  • Per Diem, Day Shift
  • 3 days per week

Essential Functions:

  • Conducting transthoracic (TTE), stress, or transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms to visualize cardiac structures.
  • Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety, and positioning them for imaging
  • Recording images, measuring heart chambers, evaluating valve function, and recognizing abnormal findings.
  • Preparing preliminary reports and findings for physicians to review.
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and calibrating ultrasound equipment.
