We are seeking experienced Aerospace Precision Machinists to join our Post Bond Machining team at our Robison Road facility in Erie, PA. In this role, you will work on high-value aerospace products, machine to close tolerances and ultra-fine finishes, and be part of a team where skill, pride in workmanship, and quality truly matter.

What You'll Do

As an Aerospace Precision Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components used in Parker Lord aerospace product lines. This role supports low-volume, high-value production where quality, consistency, and workmanship are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual machines, and related machining equipment

  • Machine high-value aerospace products supporting key Parker Lord Erie value streams

  • Work to close tolerances and ultra-fine finishes on rubber-to-metal bonded products, forgings, castings, assemblies, and related components

  • Inspect finished machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and quality standards

  • Complete manufacturing paperwork and computer transactions accurately and on time

  • Collaborate with other machinists to share best practices and support smooth shift changeovers

  • Cross-train on various machines to expand skills and support production needs

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, precision, and continuous improvement

  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing and improvement activities focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity

Candidates must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift for an extended period of time. Team members working off-shift receive a shift differential.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience setting up and operating a variety of CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual machines

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English

  • Ability to work off-shift - 2nd or 3rd shift - for an extended period of time

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, precision, and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4-year machining apprenticeship

  • Trade school education in machining or a related discipline

  • CNC programming knowledge

  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine experience

  • Experience machining aerospace, defense, high-value, or close-tolerance components
