Security Officer - Screening Technician

As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and clear communication. This role offers the chance to support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while delivering a caring and reliable experience for everyone on site.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and/or other designated posts to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
