Job Description

We are seeking an analytical and detail oriented Senior Manager, Global Sales Compensation Operations to drive optimization of sales compensation programs while improving operational efficiencies in administration and execution. This role combines strategic thinking and data-driven decision making to ensure scalability and accuracy of outcomes.

The Senior Manager will partner with sales compensation and business leadership to drive business outcomes and ensure the program aligns with business strategy and Visa's Sales Compensation Program framework. This candidate will also evaluate and implement process improvements to drive consistency across all business units. To be successful, this candidate must be organized, thorough, and execute with clear guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage sales compensation plans that align with business strategy.
  • Manage and perform activities to ensure accuracy and timely processing of incentive calculations, validations, and payments.
  • Manage and perform any activities for participants regarding SIP plan, quota, and/or crediting changes.
  • Manage and drive optimization of key processes including but not limited to quota setting and crediting.
  • Resolve any issues or inquiries through problem solving and data driven decisions.
  • Collaborate and partner with sales operations, finance, legal, total rewards, and people teams to support sales compensation initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement to help increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain documentation of process and procedures.
  • Support the leadership team in various ad hoc projects to improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of business processes.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on SIP program effectiveness.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • At least 7 years of sales compensation, sales operations, and/or finance experience with progressively increasing responsibility and complexity of work
  • Experience with Incentive Management Compensation Tools such as Xactly, NICE, Callidus, Varicent, CaptivateIQ, or others
  • Experience in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting
  • Experience with sales incentive compensation concepts, sales data tracking processes, and methodologies
  • Proficient in using advanced functions and formulas in Excel and data validation
  • Expert in creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets, dashboards, charts, and reports that present data in a clear and accurate manner
  • Strong data management skills to manipulate, visualize, and interpret large and complex data sets
  • Manage and ensure data quality, data cleansing, data transformation, and data integration tasks using various tools and techniques
  • Capable of communicating data findings and recommendations effectively to various stakeholders using oral, written, and graphical formats
  • Proven experience in business process improvement, with the ability to identify and implement process changes that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience, certification in six sigma preferred
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines, with a collaboration mind-set
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and quality-focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual teams

The estimated salary range for this positionis $138,300.00 to $ 221,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
