Inova Office of Research is seeking a dedicated Research Applications Specialist to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, Hybrid Day shift (Possibly Remote).

The Research Applications Specialist is a part of the Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) in the Office of Research at Inova. This position supports Inova research in the use of multiple software applications, including OnCore clinical trials management system (CTMS), eRegulatory, stipend/reimbursement payments, research administration, etc. The employee will be responsible for interpreting research protocols and negotiated budget and payment terms, managing competing priorities, and providing superior customer service.

Research Applications Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality assurance of work product to ensure proper functionality within the OnCore CTMS while maintaining protocol accuracy.

  • Builds and configures study calendars and financials in the OnCore CTMS based on the study documents provided to ensure billing compliance and financial capture.

  • Collaborate with direct supervisor, coverage analysis team, budget team, clinical research team, health system representatives, consultants, and vendors to ensure overall completion of goals, schedules, and deadlines.

  • Performs system testing of the CRSO supported software applications as directed and quality control of application functionality during application upgrades.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in in related field) or Four (4) years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree).

  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience in clinical experience, finance, billing compliance or related field.
