East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is looking for motivated individuals eager to pursue a career in Human Resources as a Human Resources Analyst I. Initially, job duties are performed under close supervision in a training capacity. As experience and proficiency are gained, assignments become progressively more diversified and difficult while supervision gradually decreases. This class is alternatively staffed and incumbents may advance to Human Resources Analyst II after gaining experience, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the requirements for the higher-level class. The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill vacancies in any area of Human Resources. The current vacancy is in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Culture.
This position serves as a Human Resources Analyst I within the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Culture (ODEC), supporting a variety of programmatic and project-based initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, workforce development, and organizational support efforts.
Under general supervision, the incumbent assists with the coordination, tracking, implementation, and communication of initiatives that support EBMUD's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan (DEISP) and related organizational priorities. The position provides analytical, administrative, and project support to cross-functional teams and contributes to the development of consistent processes, reporting tools, and employee engagement efforts.
Strategic Support Areas

*Assisting with coordination of equity and accessibility initiatives

*Research and compile information related to regulatory and program requirements
DEI Strategic Plan Tracking & Reporting Support
*Assist with maintaining DEISP tracking systems and project records
*Compile, organize, and prepare information for dashboards, reports, presentations, and status updates
*Support monitoring of project milestones, timelines, and deliverables
*Assist in gathering and summarizing data related to DEI initiatives and program activities
Equity Core Team Support
*Provide coordination and administrative support to Equity Core Teams and related work groups
*Assist with meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities
*Support implementation of Equity Toolkit pilot activities and related projects
*Assist with communication and coordination between participating departments and stakeholders
Project Coordination & Change Support
*Assist with project coordination activities related to organizational initiatives and process improvements
*Support development of communication materials, resource guides, and implementation tools
*Assist with employee engagement and outreach activities associated with DEI and accessibility initiatives
*Help track implementation progress and identify follow-up items
Workforce Development & Organizational Support
*Provide project and analytical support for workforce development and employee development initiatives
*Assist with coordination of training, workshops, and employee engagement activities
*Support research and information gathering related to workforce equity and employee development efforts
*Assist with preparation of reports, summaries, and presentation materials

The salary range for Human Resources Analyst I is $10,000 per month, increasing to $10,500, $11,025, and $11,576 after 6, 18 and 30 months respectively.
