The Driver License Examiner Assistant in Lancaster County with the Department of Transportation plays an important part in helping customers complete the licensing process. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position assists customers, processes applications and administers tests to support safe and accurate driver licensing. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Customer Greeting: Welcome customers and guide them through application and identification steps
- Test Administration: Administer knowledge tests and conduct vision screenings for applicants
- Data Entry: Enter application information and test results into required computer systems
- Document Verification: Review identity documents and confirm authenticity to prevent fraud
- Customer Support: Provide information about licensing requirements, REAL ID rules and available services
- Fee Processing: Apply correct fee waiver codes and follow all related guidelines

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday- Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work overtime and travel to other Driver License Centers when needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
