The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is looking for a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker who is ready to take on meaningful work in a beautiful setting. This role lets you contribute to the care and improvement of Little Buffalo State Park. Each day brings new tasks that help the park operate smoothly and safely. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will support the daily upkeep and improvement of facilities and natural areas at Little Buffalo State Park. The work you will do focuses on a wide range of maintenance tasks that keep the park clean, safe, and functional for visitors. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Maintenance Support: Assist with semi-skilled tasks in construction and routine park maintenance
- Repair Assistance: Help skilled workers with repairs to buildings and facilities using basic tools of various trades
- Equipment Operation: Operate and care for park vehicles, tools, and machines used for maintenance tasks
- Grounds Care: Perform mowing, trimming, planting, site preparation, and general landscape upkeep
- Building Upkeep: Clean restrooms, pavilions, offices, and other park structures while completing minor repairs
- Visitor Service: Provide helpful information to park visitors in a friendly and professional manner

- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Typical work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Shifts and days will vary including weekends and holidays. Will work 5 of 7 days/37.5 hours per week.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
