QA/QC Support Specialist

**Responsibilities:**

* Perform comprehensive data validation through multiple queries to ensure the accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to new GIS systems.

* Critically review land base symmetry, connectivity at structures, and confirm the integrity of cable connections.

* Verify attribute data for all linear and point data features across essential utility components.

* Implement and propose updates to map symbology, providing effective visual solutions.

* Lead and actively participate in testing efforts for vendor deliverables, including factory acceptance, system acceptance, and user acceptance testing, to ensure solutions meet specified requirements.

* Act as a strong advocate for the end-user throughout the testing lifecycle, collaborating with development teams to integrate feedback and enhance system usability.

* Conduct detailed reviews of project documentation related to test planning and execution, offering insightful comments and providing approvals to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.

* Utilize specialized testing software for efficient test planning, execution, and reporting, maintaining comprehensive documentation and artifacts.

* Exercise decisiveness in approving testing-related requirements and planning documentation, ensuring full alignment with strategic project objectives.

* Contribute to other critical GIS projects as needs arise, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to expand your expertise.

* Develop a deep understanding of the organization's enterprise GIS projects and mapping systems.

* Acquire proficiency in company mapping processes, documentation, and a diverse range of software applications.

* Cultivate the ability to accurately interpret various types of utility maps.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Demonstrated professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

* Bachelor's degree required.

* At least two (2) years of experience utilizing GIS software for mapping and data analysis.

* Proven knowledge in building map layouts, performing spatial queries, and conducting spatial analysis.

* Experience within a utility environment is essential.

* A self-starter with high motivation, exceptional attentiveness, integrity, energy, initiative, and resourcefulness.

* A quick learner capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.

* Strong analytical skills complemented by a technical background.

* Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in standard office applications.
