Responsibilities

Position Summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Senior Systems Analyst to provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for a federal government customer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, identity and access management, virtual desktop infrastructure, endpoint management, PKI administration, and secure mobility solutions in a cleared environment.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer service excellence, and the ability to support mission-critical operations in a fast-paced government environment.

Key Responsibilities

    Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop and remote support for government users in classified and unclassified environments.
  • Perform operating system imaging and reimaging, driver installation, workstation setup, peripheral configuration, KVM support, and advanced application troubleshooting.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory user accounts and permissions, including:
    • Password resets
    • Account provisioning and deprovisioning
    • Privileged access assignments
    • Shared folder permissions
    • Public calendars
    • Security and distribution groups
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise software packages using Tanium; validate successful deployments and troubleshoot installation failures.
  • Utilize Dameware, Microsoft Teams, and other remote support tools to diagnose and resolve technical incidents.
  • Track, document, and manage service requests and incidents using Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles for recurring issues, standard operating procedures, and known error resolutions.
  • Perform WebRAO and Trusted Agent responsibilities, including PKI certificate issuance and lifecycle support.
  • Provision, support, and troubleshoot PKI hardware/software tokens in accordance with federal security requirements.
  • Administer VMware Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), including desktop assignments, user access, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage government-furnished mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads, using AirWatch/Workspace ONE and Apple Business Manager.
  • Administer RSA token assignments and resets.
  • Perform Entrust administrative functions, including account creation, restoration, authentication troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to support secure enterprise operations.
  • Support continuity of operations (COOP) activities and after-hours support as required.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • 5+ years of experience providing enterprise IT support in a federal government or regulated environment (1 years with MS/MA; 9 years with HS Diploma/equivalent).
  • Active TS/SCI or Q/SCI clearance; ability to maintain clearance eligibility.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
    • Active Directory administration
    • VMware Horizon VDI
    • Microsoft 365 applications and Teams
    • Tanium endpoint management
    • Mobile device management platforms (AirWatch/Workspace ONE)
    • PKI certificate management and token administration
    • Jira or enterprise ticketing systems
  • Experience supporting remote users and troubleshooting complex desktop/application issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting classified government environments.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity policies and compliance frameworks.
  • Certifications such as:
    • Security+
    • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
    • ITIL Foundation

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
