The Polisher is responsible for safely setting up and operating polishing, fabrication, and finishing/assembly equipment to produce high-quality Stainless Steel Air Cleaners that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in product quality, workplace safety, and operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. The position is on 1st shift, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is located on-site at our manufacturing facility in Greeneville, TN.

Roles Responsibilities:

  • Safely set up and operate department equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Perform hand and machine operations to fabricate, polish, test, assemble and package Stainless Steel Air Cleaners.
  • Conduct leak testing and inspections to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routings to perform work in proper sequence.
  • Set up and operate presses, Accrotech rollers, spot welders, polishing equipment, vibratory machines, wrappers, and hand tools.
  • Use jigs, fixtures, clamps, and positioners to align, assemble, and fabricate components accurately.
  • Identify and report unusual conditions, safety concerns, or defective materials to leadership.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on department equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; perform 6S duties as assigned.
  • Assist with inventory monitoring and notify appropriate personnel of low stock levels.
  • Perform related duties and cross-train within the department as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing routings.
  • Reliable daily attendance; punctuality is essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle components weighing up to 50 lbs, including lifting pallets to shoulder height with or without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • Ability to work in and around loud machinery while wearing required PPE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment.
  • Experience polishing or fabricating stainless steel components.
  • Familiarity with leak testing, quality inspection, or measurement tools.
  • Experience working in a 6S or Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
