Job Description:

Uses financial techniques to support, coach, and enable divisional executives and operational leaders to deliver outstanding performance. Acts as a financial liaison with assigned regions, business units, and services lines to achieve operational performance and drive strategic goals and initiatives. Acts as strategic link between Allina's short and long term goals and tactics executed by operational leaders.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Financial Support and Education
    • Key financial strategic advisor who actively partners with leadership teams to formulate and refine initiatives and tactics to ensure operational and financial success in meeting assigned targets and organization directives.
    • Creates and supports a seamless financial operating model throughout the organization that ensures that Allina's objectives and priorities can be implemented.
    • Coaches assigned senior leadership teams on impact of operational financial principles and their relevant impact on their respective performance models.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting
    • Collaborates with finance and operational leaders to complete the planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensures key insights are incorporated into planning process.
    • Measures, monitors, and communicates risk and outcomes to executive leadership and sponsors. --Serves as a respected thought leader regarding innovation and change needed to achieve business unit goals and objectives.
    • Partners with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to interpret financial analysis to support decision making.
  • Month End Close
    • Completes month end close in timely, efficient manner.
    • Validates monthly financial statement performance; identifying potential risk to plan and participating in course correction with executive leadership team.
    • Communicate back to Senior Finance leadership on progress and goal attainability.
  • Performance Management
    • Owns market operational finance performance management at the market and business-unit level. Provides insights, measures success, and coaches leadership on improvement opportunities.
    • Supports budgets and forecasts, including supporting analysis and monitoring to goal achievement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 7+ years experience in finance field (accounting, analysis, labor cost and productivity, etc.)
  • 2+ years in a finance leadership role within healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business or Finance

Licenses/Certifications

  • CPA License preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $71.47 to $98.89 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
