Job Summary: |
The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Senior or Principal Professional position. This position serves in a multifaceted role and will provide professional oversight of event planning, events fundraising, events budgetary tracking, procurement, logistical support, marketing and communications, and overall administrative support. The Business Services Professional exercises initiative and must understand and follow the complex operating policies, procedures and systems of the university. This role also serves as the liaison to Gastroenterology leadership, faculty, fellows and staff working in the Division of Gastroenterology and is responsible for providing logistical support to faculty, staff and fellows travel. The Business Services Professional provides key administrative facilitation for the Division of Gastroenterology and supports the executive-duties and responsibilities of the Gastroenterology Division. This position requires the utmost professionalism as they represent the Division, faculty, and staff in fundraising efforts for the Division and faculty's educational conference efforts. The Business Services Professional must work well with both internal and external stakeholders - while proactively seeking solutions to any challenges to the Division's goals regarding administrative efforts, educational offerings, and events logistics. The successful candidate should act with the highest levels of professionalism and awareness, be proactive and motivated to learn and grow and be a subject-matter expert within the field of administrative support facilitation and events planning. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative support for the Division of Gastroenterology, Community Section and members of the Leadership team in the division exercising tact, confidentiality and diplomacy Support the Gastroenterology faculty and fellows groups in terms of reimbursement, planning travel, and expense reports. All-encompassing facilitation and project planning for large-scale Division conferences and events including the Mehta Lectureship, Ahnen Memorial Lectureship, Rocky Mountain Highlights in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Rocky Mountain IBD conference. May coordinate logistics for other Division conferences and events such as the Rocky Mountain Interventional Endoscopy Course, Grand Rounds, and Diversity Equity Inclusion speaking engagements through team support. Oversee all logistics and timelines, develop project plans, timelines, milestones, fundraising management and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with Course Director, Division and overall organization goals. Work with the Business Services Program Manager to manage the marketing, social media and promotional efforts for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Duties include, but are not limited to, website content creation and management, new website page builds and layout, updates, social media marketing efforts, etc. Assist in the management of the fellowship program through tracking and recording of evaluations for fellows in Medhub, while consulting with AMION. Overall support in recruitment, onboarding, licensing, reimbursement, travel logistics, scheduling, and credentialing. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Senior Level:
Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of professional experience providing administrative and/or business support in an academic, healthcare, hospital, medical, and/or University environment.
Principal Level:
Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative and/or business support in an academic, healthcare, hospital, medical, and/or University environment. A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using CU Marketplace. Experience with initial provider credentialing and recredentialing. Experience with EPIC Health Record System, Amion. Experience in call scheduling. Experience with conference planning, marketing campaigns, and social media promotion.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Ability to establish work priorities and follow-through to ensure completion of activities to best meet division business needs in an environment with many competing. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to identify and set priorities for self and others. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to think critically about data as it relates to systems, stakeholders, decision-making, and support of organizational strategy. Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret vast amounts of data in order to recommend solutions and implement a preferred course of action. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion with information. Ability to exercise sound judgment and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to envision innovative ways of doing things to assertively challenge the status quo.

Senior Level: $59,087 - $79,177 Principal Level: $67,950 - $91,054
