Schedule: 40-hours per week, day shift; schedule includes on-call rotation (weekday/weekend)
The Shift Charge Nurse has authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide clinical and administrative leadership on her/his shift.
This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Education

  • Other Certificate/Diploma Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

No

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] required

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required

Experience

  • Three (3) years current experience in relevant clinical specialty required

  • Current experience must be within two years of hire into the Shift Charge position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills and clinical competence in area of responsibility required.

  • Additional unit-specific education requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit.
