Description

    Our Pediatrics Biddeford practice is a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment caring for patients from infancy through young adulthood. With a collaborative team of 20-25 staff, including providers, MAs, RNs, behavioral health professionals, and support staff, teamwork is at the core of everything we do. This primarily clinical role includes rooming patients, administering vaccines, supporting lab testing, and assisting with clinical inbox tasks such as patient messages and refill requests. The schedule is 32 hours/week, typically Monday-Thursday (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) offering great work-life balance. Candidates must be comfortable multitasking in a dynamic setting, enjoy working with children, and be willing to support coverage at nearby pediatric offices (travel is compensated). We're looking for someone who is confident, positive, flexible, and eager to jump in and support their teammates during busy times.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
    2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement) Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
    3. Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (without certification) or as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant; or 6 months of experience as a certified Medical Assistant.
