Overview
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for leading the custodial team and ensuring the facility is maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance. This role oversees daily custodial operations, assigns work, inspects completed tasks, and ensures all cleaning activities follow established procedures, safety protocols, and organizational policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of custodial staff to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of custodial duties.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment, and completed tasks to verify quality and compliance with cleaning standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to custodial personnel.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Enforce safety procedures, including proper PPE use and adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Address customer service requests and resolve custodialrelated issues promptly.
- Document work activities, maintain logs, and support reporting requirements as needed.
- Support special cleaning projects, event setups, and emergency response needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of custodial experience, including prior experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong understanding of custodial practices, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage supplies effectively.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prior experience in the supervision of a workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms.
- Work requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be comfortable getting dirty, dusty, and greasy in an indoor or outdoor environment with frequent exposure to excessive noise.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
