Scientist - Sensor Cal/Val
Overview/ Job Responsibilities Entarian is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist/Engineer to support NOAA operational calibration of sensors on Low Earth Orbiting satellites, including characterizing, and monitoring the signal to noise, radiometric, spectral, and geospatial quality of the level 1b products using a variety of methods; investigate instrument anomalies such as due to space weather events, radio frequency interference, and propose corrective actions and/or mitigations; provide technical support to the satellite programs by improving the algorithms and level 1 data quality through innovative science to support numerical weather and space weather predictions. The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - 115,000/year. This position supports work at NOAA's College Park faciltiy with some on-site work required. Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Atmospheric Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field with a strong focus on GNSS radio occultation data processing
