WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Set up and operate machine tools to cut, shape, or form metal to specification Read blueprints, drawings, or work instructions to determine machining requirements Monitor machine operations, including feed and speed, to ensure proper performance Measure and inspect completed parts using precision tools to verify quality and accuracy Perform routine adjustments, cleaning, and basic maintenance on machines Identify machining issues and notify appropriate personnel when advanced adjustments are needed Evaluate machining processes and recommend improvements for efficiency or quality (level dependent) Dispose of scrap and waste materials in accordance with company and environmental guidelines Train, coach, or support less experienced machine operators (level dependent) YOU HAVE: Experience operating machine tools in a manufacturing or production environment Ability to read blueprints and follow machining procedures and work instructions Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.) Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety standards Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements Ability to work independently or as part of a team within standard operating procedures Dependable attendance and ability to meet production schedules Willingness to learn and progress within machine operation levels High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience Additional experience and ability to train or mentor others required for senior level roles WE HAVE: A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
