Provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and longitudinal treatment for adult psychiatry patients within the Northridge Clinic. Delivers evidence-based psychiatric care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including faculty psychiatrists, residents, therapists, nursing, and care coordination staff. Maintains continuity of care for an established patient panel, supports access through new patient evaluations and follow-up visits, and contributes to departmental goals related to patient access, quality, documentation, and operational efficiency. Join a collaborative and academically engaged outpatient psychiatry team providing evidence-based psychiatric care within the Northridge Clinic. This position provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and longitudinal treatment for adult psychiatry patients in a team-based environment alongside psychiatrists, residents, therapists, nursing, and care coordination staff. The role supports continuity of care for an established patient panel while contributing to timely access for new patient evaluations and follow-up care. This is primarily a weekday outpatient position (Monday-Friday, standard business hours) with a combination of scheduled psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management visits in an established academic medical center environment. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2-5+ years of psychiatric clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in outpatient, inpatient, consultation-liaison, community mental health, or academic psychiatry settings strongly preferred. Prior experience in an outpatient psychiatry setting with independent panel management, continuity of care, and coordination across interdisciplinary teams preferred. Experience working within an academic medical center, resident training environment, or collaborative interdisciplinary care model preferred. Experience using an electronic medical record and maintaining timely documentation, coding, and clinical follow-up expectations preferred. Administration Maintain outpatient clinic schedules, support continuity of care, and participate in panel management, patient messaging, refill requests, and coordination of follow-up care. Participate in departmental meetings, required trainings, quality initiatives, and workflow improvement efforts. Adhere to departmental policies, compliance requirements, and operational expectations related to access, documentation, and patient care delivery. Professional Practice evidence-based psychiatric care consistent with departmental, institutional, and professional standards. Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary academic medical center environment, including psychiatrists, residents, therapists, nursing, and care coordination staff. Participate in educational activities and contribute to a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and patient-centered care. Clinical Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans using evidence-based psychiatric assessment and medication management practices. Provide timely follow-up care, assess treatment response, monitor safety and medication efficacy, and coordinate care with internal and external treatment providers when indicated. Support patient access through new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and continuity of care within Northridge Clinic. Leadership Participate in quality improvement, workflow optimization, and clinic initiatives to improve patient experience and operational efficiency. Serve as a collaborative clinical partner and role model within an interdisciplinary academic environment, including engagement with trainees and team-based care. Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment.
