Essential Functions

Pay Rate: $25.25 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am).

Job Description:

• Lifts live chickens off moving conveyor belt and hangs them on overhead shackles by their legs.
• Operates and controls the speed of the conveyor belt with knee-controlled lever.
• Picks up DOA (dead on arrival) and loose chickens off the floor.
• Clean up feathers and other debris and deposits into gondola/tanks.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to repeatedly lift 4-10 lbs. and to meet established company standards.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hrs.) on concrete/metal grated floor.
• Able to work in dark, dirty, and dusty environment.
• Repetitive grasping/pushing motions, over the shoulder reaching, frequent bending required.
• Must submit to and pass criminal background.
• Must be able to pass BTE level 2.
