POSITION SUMMARY:

The Consumer Lending Representative II (CLR II) is responsible for contacting members to follow up on Consumer Loan Pre-Approvals and loan applications for auto loans, credit cards and personal loans. The CLR II will develop, maintain, and close consumer loan applications in addition to providing excellent member service. Responsible for following up on loan applications, processing the workflow of all consumer loan applications received through all delivery channels, and assuring a maximum closing ratio. The CLR II will promote and advise members of the benefits of Wescom Consumer loan products and services.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Provide a Signature Experience to members by assisting with Consumer Loan products in a courteous and professional manner.

Assists members in establishing memberships, share and loan accounts, and related products and services by conducting interviews, completing necessary documents, and performing data entry of records in compliance with audit requirements.

Responsible for the Auto Express Loan Checks, Mobile Loan Transfers, Lender's Protection loans processes, DMV titling and processing system, GAP and MMP products, and MAP transactions.

Contacts members to advise them or remind them of their Pre-Approval offer. Presents credit union products and services that can best meet the members' financial needs.

Follows up on consumer loan applications, quote loan options, rates, payments, blue book quotes; delivers loan decisions to members, and cross sell additional loan products and services.

Makes new loan product recommendations to members, understanding consumer loan products, auto buying programs and ancillary products that best suit member's needs.

When necessary, processes consumer loan applications and pertinent member financial credit information.

Obtains documentation of pending stipulations for funding. Assist members with funding questions.

Works with loan officers for review and approval of an application. Works with branch, MSC and Consumer Loan processors to obtain all requisite loan documentation, promoting communication and teamwork.

Provides and updates member information utilizing the credit union's Member Relationship Management system (MRM) including documentation in Symitar and Akcelerant to insure visibility across the organization.

Manages own consumer loan pipeline ensuring regular follow up with the member until the member has made a decision to accept or decline the loan offer.

Responsible for creating and maintaining call log and closing reports.

Ensures that all daily work is completed on time and is completed accurately.

Effectively communicates with members, branches, and dealers on a daily basis.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Annually complete/passes all lending related regulatory compliance training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience required.

Minimum of two (2) years' financial industry and customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations regarding lending and consumer loans.

Proficient in direct auto loan transactions.

Prior loan servicing and outbound telephone service experience preferred.

Effective communication skills, professional conduct and appearance, knowledge of PCs and Microsoft applications, detail-oriented, good organizational skills, general knowledge of financial industry policies and operations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a proven ability to work well with others and be a team player.

Effective time management and organizational skills to rapidly adapt and respond to unscheduled events or changes, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

The position will be a self-starter, a self-motivator, and have the ability to work with limited supervision.

The position requires skillful persuasiveness, ability to communicate convincingly over the phone, and ability to overcome negative responses. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be proficient in technology applications including the Credit Union's operating system and specialized software required for performance of position.

Experience with Symitar and Akcelerant Loan Originations System preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position may qualify as Remote or Hybrid with a home base at one of Wescom's offices. The Remote or Hybrid status may be discontinued by Wescom in its sole discretion at any time and for any reason or no reason, with or without notice by Wescom or Employee.
