Title:Engineer Co-op Fall 2026 Position Summary/Details: The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study. This position is critical in meeting certain business functions while working directly with a Distribution Operation Engineer. Key Responsibilities and/or Learning Objectives
Physical Location of Co-op: Split between two locations, Plant City as primary location: Plant City Service Area 1308 W Grant St Plant City, FL 33563 Bearss Operations Center 1006 E Bearss Ave Lutz, FL 33549 Working Conditions Mostlyin a normal office environment, a successful candidate will visit the fieldapproximately weekly. This will include riding in a company vehicle on-road and off-road, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering substations. Preferred Availability:
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related disciplinefor the first semester the student joins the program. Co-Op Requirements: To qualifyas a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof ofenrollmentrequired); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
