JOB TITLE: Frame Builder

OBJECTIVE: The Frame Shop Frame Builder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and modifying aluminum and steel frame components used in military and commercial shelter systems.
Major Activities Performed
  • Fabricate and assemble aluminum and steel frame components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
  • Measure, cut, drill, grind, and prepare materials for assembly.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, and assembly of frame structures to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
  • Assist with prototype builds, product improvements, and custom fabrication projects as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and supervisory personnel to meet production goals.
  • Follow all applicable company, customer, and Department of Defense manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with additional fabricating tasks such as sewing, trimming, or bonding when required.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring devices, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in construction, metal fabrication, manufacturing, welding, mechanical assembly, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Manual dexterity ability to use power tools and follow all safety procedures..
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
