Description
The VP, EPMO Portfolio Management role will lead the strategic direction and execution of complex, multi-disciplinary technology programs that enable organizational priorities and operational effectiveness. This role oversees a portfolio of projects and program leaders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery while driving consistent execution, governance, and continuous improvement across the function.

Job Duties
  • Establishes vision, priorities, and operating approach for a defined technical project and program management function, aligning initiatives with organizational strategy and business outcomes
  • Oversees a portfolio of large-scale and/or interdependent technology projects, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, financial targets, quality standards, and risk controls
  • Translates business needs into structured programs and technical initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to define objectives, requirements, and success measures
  • Provides leadership to a team of program and project leaders, fostering accountability, professional development, and consistent execution practices across teams
  • Directs resource planning, funding allocation, and prioritization efforts to optimize capacity and ensure effective use of budget and talent
  • Establishes and maintains program governance frameworks, including reporting structures, performance metrics, and escalation processes to support informed decision-making
  • Serves as a senior liaison between business, technology, and external partners to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and resolve complex issues
  • Evaluates program health, risks, and outcomes, and drives corrective actions or strategic adjustments to maintain progress and achieve intended results
  • Champions continuous improvement of program management methodologies, tools, and standards to enhance delivery effectiveness and organizational maturity
  • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, integrate initiatives, and support broader enterprise goals and transformation efforts

Essential Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise and technology portfolio management, capital portfolio management, enterprise transformation, merger integration, technology delivery, or large-scale cross-functional program execution
  • Minimum eight (8) years of people leadership experience, including leading project managers, program managers, portfolio managers, business analysts, or other delivery professionals
  • Extensive experience leading complex technical programs or portfolios, including oversight of multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation for large-scale initiatives
  • Deep understanding of technology delivery frameworks, project lifecycles, and program governance practices
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and navigate cross-functional environments to drive alignment and outcomes
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and near-term execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess program performance and drive data-informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification: PMP preferred
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | Marlborough, MA 01752 | (HYBRID)
Target Compensation: $221k - $276,500k annually + annual bonus
