DIGIT is seeking a System Administrator to manage and maintain printers throughout the enterprise for the General Services Administration. The individual will support the management of devices throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes administering, operating, maintaining, and supporting enterprise device management platforms, tools, systems, and related integrations used to manage network-connected devices. There are over 1,400 printers in the GSA environment that are deployed throughout the country.

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • Configure, provision, enroll, deploy, image, patch, upgrade, harden, and maintain device operating systems, firmware, drivers, certificates, client software, and security settings through approved enterprise management solutions and automated deployment mechanisms, as applicable.
  • Provide operational and technical support for managed devices
  • Perform vulnerability management and security compliance activities for managed devices
  • Manage printers throughout the enterprise.
  • Report all remediation work in ServiceNow tickets
  • Provide solutions to better manage and support printers in the GSA environment.
  • Participates in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations
  • Participates in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents
  • Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the lifecycle
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues and conflicts
  • Develops System Architecture and System Design documentation
  • Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.

Qualifications:

CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This following are REQUIRED for this position:

  • Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain
  • ITILv4 Foundation Certification within 120 days of start date.
  • Previous experience with vulnerability patching.
  • Previous experience supporting and managing enterprise end devices.
  • Previous experience working on a large Operations or Infrastructure Government program.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
  • Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are DESIRED for this position:

  • Public Trust Clearance by start date.
  • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
  • Previous experience developing a device management solution.
  • Previous experience with supporting and managing remote network connected printers.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 4-9 years of experience and Bachelor's degree
  • Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
