*Patient Care Coordinator (Medical Scheduling / DME Support)* Indianapolis, IN (On-Site)
$19-$21/hour Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity *About the Opportunity* We are seeking a detail-oriented *Patient Care Coordinator* to join a collaborative and supportive healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping patients, and has experience managing high-volume calls and scheduling. You'll play a key role in coordinating care, verifying insurance, and ensuring patients receive the equipment and services they need in a timely manner. *What You'll Do* * Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (40-70+ daily) * Schedule appointments and process DME (Durable Medical Equipment) orders * Navigate multiple EMR systems to retrieve and update patient documentation * Verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and expiration dates * Coordinate with patients, providers, and internal teams to facilitate referrals * Follow up with patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements * Accurately document all call activity and patient interactions * Review and submit orders and supporting documentation * Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive patient experience * Identify and communicate trends related to insurance and authorization issues *What You Bring* 1+ year of high-volume call center or customer service experience Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills Experience with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment *Preferred:* * Experience with EMR/Epic systems * Background in medical scheduling, referrals, or insurance verification * DME experience * Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus *Schedule Options* * Monday-Friday: * 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM *OR* * 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM * Flexibility to work *at least one weekend day preferred* *Work Environment & Culture* * Clean, modern office with your own workstation, headset, and equipment * Smaller, close-knit team - supportive, friendly, and collaborative * Opportunity to grow into a *permanent position* with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO) * Team-focused culture with celebrations, outings, and engagement events *Why You'll Love This Role* * Opportunity to make a real impact on patient care * Strong team support and positive work environment * Clear path to permanent employment * Stable schedule and competitive pay If you're passionate about patient care and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, we'd love to connect with you! *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
