Valiant is looking for a Waste Water Operator II to join our team! The Waster Water Operator II oversees maintenance and repair of acid waste water/pH neutralization system to ensure compliance with WSSC requirements to larger O/M contract. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains the maintenance and repair of the acid waste water and pH neutralization system to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required. Waster Water Operator II Certification REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills; ability to follow directions in English. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. Must be able to pass national background check & drug screen. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial and/or Commercial maintenance is preferred. HVAC, Electrical, plumbing, communications, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of such systems desired. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work in hot/cold environments. Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders, occasionally work at heights.
