Overview

LMI is seeking a Contract and Acquisition Specialist to provide acquisition and contract support to a U.S. Army Program Management Office located at Fort Lee, Virginia. This position is 100% on-site, five days per week.

The successful candidate will support acquisition planning, contract documentation, procurement tracking, software licensing, and day-to-day acquisition activities. This role works closely with government acquisition personnel, contracting officers, and program staff to ensure acquisition packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency policies.

Responsibilities

    Support the preparation and coordination of acquisition documentation, including:
  • Assist with acquisition package development and ensure required documentation is complete before submission to the contracting office.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assist in documenting acquisition recommendations.
  • Track acquisition milestones, contract actions, task orders, funding actions, and contract deliverables.
  • Maintain contract files and acquisition documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support software procurement activities, software license tracking, and maintenance renewals.
  • Monitor contract performance periods and assist with option year and renewal planning.
  • Coordinate with government contracting offices and program personnel to obtain required documentation and resolve acquisition issues.
  • Update acquisition trackers, SharePoint sites, and other program management tools.
  • Assist with preparing briefing materials, reports, and status updates for leadership.
  • Participate in acquisition planning meetings and document meeting notes and action items.
  • Provide support for DoDI 5000.75 documentation and other acquisition reporting requirements.
  • Assist with Section 508 Accessibility Requirements Tool (ART) documentation and DITCO Requirement Checklists, as required.
  • Perform other acquisition and contract administration duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, Acquisition, or a related field.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting Federal Government acquisitions.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense acquisition processes.
  • Experience preparing acquisition documentation and supporting contract actions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple acquisition actions simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced government environment.
  • Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) is preferred.

Target Salary Range: $76,000 - $130,000
