Heavy Equipment Operator

Now Hiring: Equipment Operators - Heart of Florida Landfill
Lake Panasoffkee, FL

We are currently seeking experienced, safetyconscious Equipment Operators to join our team at Heart of Florida Landfill. Prior landfill or waste experience is a big plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Schedule: 5am-4:30pm and 7am-6:30pm | Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
Hours: 45-55 hours per week
Pay: $24-$26+ per hour DOE

• Perform general maintenance around the site and facility

• Spread and compact trash using a Compactor

• Apply daily cover using a Dozer

• Excavate soil with an Excavator

• Haul soil as needed

• Outdoor landfill environment

• Work near moving mechanical parts

• Exposure to wet/humid conditions, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles

• Clean, welllit, and ventilated areas

• Experience operating a forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred

• Ability to learn and safely operate sitespecific equipment independently

• Willingness to follow PPE requirements and safety protocols

• Teamoriented mindset with flexibility to take on new responsibilities

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
