At DaVita, we are building an end-to-end kidney platform that connects care for individuals at every stage along their health journey-from earlier diagnosis and prevention, through supporting the transplant process, to ensuring patients are supported at home, in our centers, and in the hospital.

Our Digital Product team plays a vital role in advancing DaVita's kidney care platform-and we're growing! We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Innovation to lead the strategy for exploring and advancing new and emerging technologies for our DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC) organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the organization's point of view on innovative technology and driving our build, buy, and partner digital strategy. You will be responsible for identifying high potential emerging technology and driving the testing and validation of these solutions through rapid pilots and proofs-of-concepts to prove their value and ROI. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is deeply curious about emerging market trends, highly adaptable, and has a proven track record in 0-to-1 product development - taking early-stage, complex technology products from ambiguous concepts through rapid prototyping, MVP validation, and a "test and learn" lifecycle with a high level of autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Point of View on External & Emerging Technology: Act as the internal subject matter expert for emerging technology. Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and how to strategically position the organization to excel in healthcare technology innovation.

  • Define and Execute Innovation Strategy: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for new digital innovation initiatives, from market research, discovery, and requirements gathering to pilot launch and validation. Effectively translate the innovation strategy into a roadmap that drives business outcomes.

  • Identify and Prioritize High-Impact Use Cases: Using market insights and data, identify and prioritize external technology opportunities that align with our strategic objectives.

  • Drive Testing, Validation, and Pilots: Champion an agile "test and learn" methodology. Manage the proof-of-concept process, running quick-to-market experiments and pilots to validate technical feasibility, user adoption, and financial ROI before scaling.

  • Translate Business Needs and Opportunities into Solutions: Translate customer needs and technical insights into clear and concise product specifications and requirements that articulate user stories, functionality, and constraints for new technology capabilities.

  • Manage Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, compliance, regulatory, operations, and external vendors as needed to build, test, and deploy solutions. Ensure solutions are compliant, safe, reliable, and integrate seamlessly into our platforms.

  • Monitor and Measure Success (ROI): Define and analyze Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) to measure the impact, performance, and financial value of innovation pilots, using data to inform decisions on whether to pivot, kill, or scale initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Product Management Experience: 6+ years of experience as a product manager, with a strong track record of launching successful software products. Preferred experience working within an innovation lab, incubator, or managing emerging technology products.

  • Emerging Technology Fluency: Strong understanding of technology trends in the market (e.g., advanced AI/ML, automation, digital health tools) and how they can be applied to solve complex business problems.

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: The ability to think big picture, navigate high degree of ambiguity, and translate complex concepts into actionable pilots with measurable outcomes. Track record of building and advocating for new business cases.

  • Communication and Influence: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executives, inspire teams, and defend strategic ideas.

  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Experience with the healthcare industry and the technology used within. Knowledge of value-based care or chronic disease management is a plus.
