Overview This position provides technical support for the Bank's data or voice network infrastructure. Installs, maintains, and configures network hardware and software. Resolves technical issues reported by users or system alerts. Responsible for network components, asset inventory, and capacity planning, including developing and documenting network device upgrades. Drives operational excellence and network efficiency, providing continuous service both through daily activities and through on-call rotation for after hours support. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities: Technical Support - Provides advanced technical support for data or voice network systems. Maintains devices, servers, and other related network components including IP address management, Domain Name Services, Bank communication applications, and others. Works with end users and vendors to resolve identified hardware and software issues. Responsible for administration, communication, and documentation throughout technical support activities. Maintains network hardware and software standards utilized across the team. Analysis - Monitors and audits network to determine performance. Reviews system-generated events to identify, analyze, and resolve issues. Assists in threat mitigation and network security activities by researching code for security vulnerabilities. Network Enhancement - Works to continuously improve network capacity, operations, and infrastructure. Configures and installs new hardware and software as needed. Facilitates automation efforts that improve overall network capabilities. Technical Proficiency - Maintains a strong knowledge base of network software, hardware, and related infrastructure. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendors, and end users. May assist with special technical projects. Position Specific Skills: Knowledge of WAN, VPN, and converged services Knowledge of networking technologies and networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPT, VOIP, etc.), Cisco and Cabletron hubs and routers, ACDs, IVRs, ECS, security protocols, Token Ring, Ethernet, FIDDI, FastEthernet, etc. Possess excellent technical skills regarding network routing, switching and provisioning Qualifications: Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Data, voice or converged networking Preferred Education: Preferred Area of Study: Preferred Area of Experience: Required Licenses or Certifications: Preferred Licenses or Certifications:Certifications in CCNP TCP/IP, VOIP or CTP - IO Additional Information Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Data, voice or converged networking OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Data, voice or converged networking Preferred Experience and Skills: (At least one of the following) Experience designing and deploying Enterprise Cisco Viptela SD-WAN. Expert knowledge of Cisco ACI fabric architecture, Leaf-Spine networking, policy design, multi-site, contracts, and operational support. Experience withCloud ConnectivityandCloud Networkingincluding AWS and Azure. Experience withAutomation and Programmabilityincluding interacting with REST APIs andGithubrepositories. Preferred Certifications:(At least one of the following) Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure). Cisco Certified DevNet Professional or equivalent automation experience. AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent cloud certification. Principle Accountabilities: 60% - Design,consultingand project support. 20% - Vision, roadmapsandstrategy. 10% - Implementation, testing and build out. 10% - Tier 4 support escalationincluding on-call.
