We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Leadership and Management Development to join our Corporate Affairs team. This role is located in New York City. The Senior Director, Leadership and Management Development, will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise leadership and manager development solutions that strengthen organizational capability and advance business priorities. This role is responsible for building scalable, impactful programs and experiences that enhance leadership effectiveness, elevate manager capability, and support talent development across the organization. This leader will work closely with senior stakeholders across the company to identify leadership capability needs, shape development strategies, and deliver solutions that support performance, growth, and culture. In this role, you'll make an impact by:
- Setting the enterprise strategy for leadership and management development aligned to business and talent priorities.
- Designing and facilitating programs, learning journeys, workshops, and experiences that build leadership and manager capability.
- Partnering with senior leaders, People team, and key stakeholders to assess needs and identify opportunities to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
- Developing frameworks, pathways, and development approaches that support leadership readiness, succession planning, and talent mobility.
- Leading the evolution of manager development solutions, using AI, to help managers lead teams effectively, drive performance, and foster engagement.
- Using data, feedback, and business insights to assess impact and continuously improve leadership development offerings.
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, modern, inclusive, and aligned with BNY's culture and strategic priorities.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team and managing external partners as needed.
- Staying informed on external trends, market practices, and emerging approaches in leadership and management development.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in leadership development, talent development, organizational development, learning strategy, or a related field.
- Experience designing, leading, and scaling leadership and management development solutions in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to connect development priorities to business outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams and managing large-scale initiatives with measurable impact.
- Strong communication, facilitation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of leadership development practices, adult learning principles, and talent strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and guide decision-making.
- Use of AI to support solutions and interventions.
