Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs various clerical/administrative duties. Answers telephone, disseminates information, assists in payroll processing, and ordering supplies. Prepares correspondence, reports, memorandums, minutes, and forms. Maintains internal personnel files in an orderly manner and regularly updates them for internal Department use.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately inputs data into databases and identifies errors promptly. (50%)
  • Answers Department phone lines in a timely, courteous manner and routes calls appropriately or takes accurate messages (15%)
  • Maintains records and files which supports database. (15%)
  • Processes requests for records and files (15%)
  • Prepares invoices as needed. (5%)

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years clerical or administrative experience Required and
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Telephone and computer and system skills.
    • Organization and communication skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines established by policies and procedures.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Ability to work independently and with others.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems within limits of established policies, procedures, or instructions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of word processing and data entry systems.
    • Proficient in the Learning Management System, Cornerstone
    • Proficient in Sharepoint.
