Position Summary

The Production Inventory and Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production operations, and ensuring materials are available when needed. This role coordinates inventory tracking, cycle counts, and data entry while working closely with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update inventory records in BPCS/TWS or inventory management systems
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, overages, or discrepancies
  • Support production by ensuring materials are issued, staged, and available as required
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances
  • Record and track work orders, production output, and material usage
  • Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers for material replenishment
  • Label, organize, and store inventory in an efficient and accessible manner
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and production activity
  • Follow company procedures for inventory control and quality standards

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with barcode scanning or RF systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or inventory control best practices
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a regulated medical-device manufacturing environment
  • Controlled manufacturing environment with adherence to strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • May involve use of small tools, assembly equipment, and exposure to chemical materials with proper training and safety controls

Pay

  • $19.50-21.00/hr. depending on experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30-35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to perform initial push/pull force 35 lbs. and sustained push/pull force 18 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive reaching, pinching, pulling, and neck flexion for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day).
  • Visual acuity requirements include near, distance, and color vision.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to solvents, chemicals, fumes, or odors consistent with manufacturing operations.

Language Requirement

  • Must be fluent in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for safety, quality, documentation, and training purposes.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant inventory, production, or warehouse experience may substitute for post-secondary education
  • Basic proficiency with BPCS/TWS systems and Microsoft Office required
  • On-the-job training or company-specific systems certification must be completed within the first 90 days
