Security Officer Armed Driver Rover

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Rover in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This armed and driving post offers the chance to support people first through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic retail areas to help to deter theft-related activity, assist with access control, and support a professional environment for customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
