About The Role:

As an Environmental Engineer with a focus on Water Resources, you will leverage your technical expertise to support and lead projects for public sector, energy, industrial, government, and real estate clients. This role combines civil and environmental engineering responsibilities, including project evaluation, design, environmental investigations, permitting, compliance, and construction support. You will contribute to projects involving electrical distribution and transmission systems, landfills, earthen dams, water resources, and contaminated or environmentally sensitive sites.

This position includes a mix of field and office work and requires collaboration with clients, contractors, regulators, local government officials, and internal project teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and sustainable project solutions.



  • Project Coordination: Support the planning and execution of environmental projects while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and project objectives. Collaborate with senior staff on technical and project management matters while developing strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Field Operations: Plan and execute field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and data collection. Lead teams during fieldwork to ensure effective environmental evaluations.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply engineering and technical computations, emphasizing experience with Superfund and contaminated sites. Independently verify calculations, review laboratory data, and formulate recommendations. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and construction cost estimates. Utilize AutoCAD, Civil3D, stormwater modeling software, and other engineering tools to support project execution
  • Report and Proposal Preparation: Coordinate and prepare professional reports, adhering to company policies and technical best practices. Develop scope and fee proposals for small to medium projects under senior guidance.



About You:



  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological or Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience related to environmental/engineering
  • You have an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and are on track to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the future
  • You have experience with civil engineering design, environmental investigations, and project coordination
  • You have working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater modeling programs
  • You can coordinate efforts effectively as part of a project team
  • You have good business and technical writing skills



You Are Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as:



  • Working the majority of the time outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially long periods
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
  • Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
