Duties and Responsibilities

Loyola University Chicago is seeking a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship to Conduct and publish cutting-edge research on entrepreneurship especially social entrepreneurship; plan research to ensure IRB compliance, conduct research, submit and present research to academic conferences, submit and publish research papers in academic journals, serve as a reviewer in journals in the field of study; engage in impactful teaching in the areas of management, entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship within the undergraduate and graduate programs; prepare syllabi, deliver lectures and written content to students, grade student work, mentor and advise students; serve on departmental, school, university, and academic professional committees; participate in recruitment of new faculty, participate in evaluation and discussion of curriculum, review applications for employment, work with other faculty to make recommendations regarding department, school, and university procedures and policies, and share a strong commitment to and understanding of the University's mission and values.
Qualifications
PhD degree in Entrepreneurship or related field plus 3 years of related experience. Will accept any level of experience in the following skills: Conduct scholarly research on social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial action under conditions of marginalization, poverty, and displacement, with attention to Global South perspectives; Teach undergraduate management and entrepreneurship courses integrating social entrepreneurship and global social and environmental justice perspectives; Support curriculum in social venture creation, opportunity recognition in underserved communities, and inclusive entrepreneurship; Provide experiential entrepreneurship education through venture ideation and applied exercises addressing social challenges and socially oriented goals.

Additional Salary Information
This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs. Salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
