Overview This position provides complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities: System Enhancement - Performs a variety of actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications. Executes test plans to validate application functions as designed. Analysis - Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspects business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Drafts documentation to be used for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Technical Expertise - Responsible for complex involvement in the software development life cycle including the creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation of software. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. On-call Support - Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotations. Position Specific Skills: Advanced experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Core; JavaScript; HTML 5; XML; SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting Advanced experience with Microsft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system Advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system Ability to build strong collaborative and productive relationships In-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile) Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis Qualifications: Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Software application development and maintenance Preferred Education:Bachelor Degree Preferred Area of Study:Computer Science Preferred Area of Experience:MS.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Scripting; Powershell Scripting Required Licenses or Certifications: Preferred Licenses or Certifications: Additional Information Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Varicent SPM/ Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions Strong experience with Varicent calculation development, data modeling, Composer, Web Forms, and reporting Strong experience with Snowflake Data Cloud, including data modeling, performance tuning, and SQL development Experience integrating Varicent with core banking platforms and enterprise financial systems Strong SQL development and data analysis skills Experience with ETL/ELT tools and enterprise data integration frameworks Knowledge of incentive compensation management, sales performance management, and commission processing Experience with API integrations, file-based interfaces, and data orchestration solutions Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments Preferred Qualifications Experience in the banking or financial services industry. Knowledge of retail banking, commercial banking, lending, deposits, and customer relationship data domains Experience with data governance, audit controls, and regulatory compliance requirements Varicent certifications or implementation experience preferred Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation processes Preferred Certifications Varicent Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent Varicent platform certification. SnowPro Core Certification (Snowflake). SnowPro Advanced Certifications (Data Engineer, Architect, or Administrator preferred).
