What to Expect As a Construction Superintendent, MEP, you will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of Semiconductor construction projects from mobilization through final turnover. You will build strong working relationships with project managers, subcontractors, trade foremen , safety personnel, and inspectors, serving as the central command on site that keeps every crew, schedule, and scope of work aligned and moving. In this role, your field expertise will be put to work solving real-time construction challenges, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment from the ground up. Your ability to read the site, anticipate conflicts before they become delays, and hold subcontractors accountable ensures that schedules are protected and work is built right the first time. You will translate project plans into clear daily direction, coordinate trade sequencing with precision, and make decisive calls that keep the workforce focused and on track. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, subcontractors, and craft labor in a cleanroom-sensitive environment Develop comprehensive execution plans and schedules for semiconductor facility projects, proactively identifying challenges and implementing risk mitigation strategies Maintain clear, frequent communication with project stakeholders, site personnel, design teams, and Project Managers to ensure alignment across all phases Drive construction progress to meet aggressive project milestones while resolving constraints and escalating critical issues to leadership Develop and execute logistics plans for specialized materials, equipment delivery, and workforce deployment in coordination with fab operations Enforce strict safety, security, and contamination control protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations, cleanroom standards, and company EHS policies What You'll Bring 10+ years of MEP or CSA construction experience in industrial or mission-critical environments (mechanical/process piping experience highly valued) Proven track record as a Construction Superintendent on industrial facility projects, cleanroom construction, brownfield expansions, or complex renovations Experience working in occupied facilities with strict contamination control, uptime requirements, and operational coordination OSHA 30 certification and/or NFPA 70E Arc Flash certification Strong working knowledge of semiconductor industry construction codes Expertise in interpreting construction documents, P&IDs, and equipment layouts with ability to provide real-time constructability feedback Understanding of cleanroom protocols, contamination control practices, and critical environment construction sequencing Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
