JLL has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Workplace Design Manager working with a key financial client account to support the design and delivery of corporate workplace projects. This role will be critical in supporting the execution of innovative, functional workplace environments aligned with the client's business goals and brand standards. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow within the design management field and contribute to smart, on-brand workplace solutions.

The Associate Workplace Design Manager supports cross-functional teams and assists in coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the design lifecycle. Working under the direction of the Workplace Design Manager, this role provides hands-on support across design phases from concept through implementation-gaining broad exposure to the full scope of corporate interior design project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design management of corporate workplace projects, assisting in ensuring adherence to design standards, budget and timelines under the direction of the Design Manager.
  • Serve as a supporting point of contact at the project level for client design-related communications, escalating key decisions and issues to the Design Manager as appropriate.
  • Bring an authoritative voice to the coordination of both small and large projects, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and external architectural design partners.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal cross-functional teams including real estate, workplace strategy, workplace experience, property management, sustainability, corporate security, brand and technology to execute design concepts that support business needs.
  • Support the management of relationships with external design firms, architects, consultants and contractors, facilitating communication and helping to ensure delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
  • Assist in overseeing design phases including schematic design, design development and construction documentation, helping to ensure alignment with corporate standards and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support space planning, interior design and furniture selection efforts, contributing to workplace environments that foster productivity, employee well-being and innovation while aligning with client's design standards.
  • Assist in the client's design review process, helping to ensure design reviews are performed in compliance with corporate guidelines, accessibility standards and building codes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors and construction teams during the construction phase to help maintain design intent, escalating issues to the Design Manager as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in workplace design, bringing fresh ideas and relevant insights to the team.
  • Assist with tracking project budgets, schedules and procurement processes related to design activities, supporting the Design Manager and construction manager in maintaining project controls.
  • Contribute to post-occupancy evaluations and feedback processes, helping to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of workplace environments.
  • Some travel (assume 5%) required to other corporate locations, as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-5 years' experience working on commercial Interior Design projects, preferably for large organizations or corporate environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field required.
  • Foundational project coordination skills with exposure to end-to-end commercial interior design fit out processes. Demonstrated ability to support complex projects while meeting schedule and budget requirements.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners under the direction of senior staff.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious and growth-minded; demonstrates eagerness to develop expertise in industry best practices and emerging workplace trends.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with ability to manage assigned tasks independently and flag issues proactively.
  • Working knowledge of local building codes, ADA requirements and other regulatory standards.
  • Growing knowledge of workplace trends, space planning, inclusive design, sustainability practices and building systems.

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
